MIXED DOUBLES BLOCK PARTY

Saturday May 16, from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.

Interested in meeting some new people to play with and against and having a good time? Then you need to register for the BLOCK PARTY. Call or email Judy Anderson with your name, email address, phone number and level of play. This is one of our most popular events to please register by May 14th. There will be lots of tennis, food, prizes, music and FUN.

MIXED DOUBLES LEAGUE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

Mixed Doubles is a USTA League Division that allows men and women to enjoy team competition TOGETHER! The format is 3 courts of doubles, men and women playing together, against teams at the same ability level. Levels are staright 2.5, and combined levels that equal 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0. Adult, Senior and Super Senior Divisions are available. More information is available from Judith Anderson at 859-797-6217 or Jennifer Dunn at 859-351-2666. Registration for teams ends on May 19th. Match play starts on June 1st. Join the fun and competition!!

Congratulations to TACK!

TACK has received the prestigious honor of CTA of the Year Award in Kentucky. TACK was chosen for this award out of 30 CTA's across the state. The award will be presented at the Kentucky Hall of Fame Awards Banquet in Louisville on February 7th. We appreciate everyone who made this award possible including all committee members, volunteers, and participants.

Lexington Native Garners 2008 Dee Dee Long Spirit Award

USTA Kentucky Awards Committee selected Jill Muse to posthumously receive the 2008 Dee Dee Long Spirit Award. This award is presented to an individual who best exhibits exemplary volunteer spirit through the USTA League Tennis program.

Congratulations to Lexington’s 4.0 Senior Team!

We would like to recognize Lexington’s 4.0 Senior Team on accomplishing a feat that not many Lexington teams have reached. This team won the Southern Sectional Tournament in Mobile, Alabama which qualifies them to represent the entire Southern Section of USTA in the National Tournament in Indian Wells, California October 17^th-19^th. The players are Dell Kelly, Ellen Miller, Derah Hubbart, Tricia Hammonds, Linda Carbone Debra Horsman, and Robin Robey.

Congratulations to the Lexington 4.0 Senior Team for their outstanding performance at Nationals, where they placed 2nd in their division! They represented Lexington well, and we are very proud of them!

TACK (Tennis Association of Central Kentucky) is the umbrella CTA (Community Tennis Association) for the USTA Lexington Leagues. Any monies that come into the league are managed by the CTA.
