Position Openings

The Tennis Association of Central Kentucky has a few positions open.  TACK is a non-profit entity that operates the USTA leagues in Lexington.  The committee is made up of volunteers from all levels of tennis.  The committee meets once a month to discuss monthly issues such as budget, league numbers, rules, regulations, and events.  

Positions at this time are:

 - Website Maintenance - makes monthly changes on the www.lexingtonleaugetennis.com website

 - Treasure - helps prepare monthly statements, writes reimbursement checks, makes deposits

 - Local League Coordinator - coordinator for Mixed doubles, Singles, and Tri-level leagues.  This is paid position based on league numbers.  This position also will require daily phone calls and email response with captains and players.  Please contact Jennifer Dunn or Michael Cunningham if interested.

USTA Adult League (2.5,3.0,3.5,4.0,4.5,50) Captain's Meetings

On December 1st and 3rd, at the Tates Creek Library 6:30pm, all captain's should attend the meeting.  The meeting will consist of going over the rule changes, practice court policies, and any other local league changes for the new 2010 season.  Please make a note to attend or send a representative to attend.  All captain's are responsible for their players knowing the rules for league play.

ADULT NEW PLAYER CLINIC 

FUN! FUN! FUN!

An adult new player clinic will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 @ Lexington Tennis Club from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.  These clinics have been quite popular in the past and bring in players that have never picked up a racquet and those that have not picked up one in years.  The clinic is free and will consist of a lesson, refreshments and prizes.  This is a great place to pick up new players for you team and for players to put together their own teams.  Please tell your friends about it!  All they need to do is call Judy Anderson @ 859-797-6217 to register.

Entry Fee: *  $28 Singles, $15 Doubles per player Entry Deadline: Sunday, August 16th at 11:59pm Friends of USTA, In case you have not heard about our upcoming event, the Tennis Association of Central Kentucky (TACK) would like to invite you to play in the 1st annual TACK Fall Classic. Our tournament will be held at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Center located on the campus of the University of Kentucky . We are very excited about the opportunity to host this tournament at UK and hope to make it an annual event. The entry deadline is Sunday August 16th at 11:59pm. This is a USTA sanctioned tournament and you must be a USTA member to play. The cost is $28.00 to play singles and $15.00 for doubles. If you are playing mixed or men’s/women’s doubles please make sure that both players’ sign up individually on tennislink.
