USTA League Tennis is the world’s largest recreational tennis league providing organized, structured team matches for all ability levels. The program is open to women and men 19 years and older, with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Local winners can move on to compete in state, sectional and even national championships.
In 2006, USTA League Tennis has one season for adults beginning in January and ending in April. Team play consists of 2 singles and 3 doubles positions. The only exception is the 2.0, 2.5 and 5.0 level, which consists of 1 singles and 2 doubles positions. Play is on week nights and on week ends.
The National Tennis Rating Program (NRTP) is used to determine playing levels and USTA Atlanta offers league play at the 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 levels.
Players may self-rate unless they have a current computer rating. USTA membership is required for all participants. Check the Lexington League Calendar for Spring, Summer, and Fall dates and deadlines!
